DEBP are a Charitable Incorporated Organisation. We registered with the Charities Commission in March 2021 after transitioning from DEBP Ltd, a social enterprise which was founded in May 2011. We believe that young people should have a future based on their skills not their situation.
Who we work with
We support children, young people, and vulnerable adults to have a positive future by equipping them with meaningful opportunities and practical tools for success. Working with primary, secondary, mainstream, specialist schools, and support centres, and in the community, we support learners up to age 19, or 25 for young people with special educational needs and disabilities. We also work with vulnerable young adults up to age 30 to advance their employability skills.
What makes us different
Every programme we deliver involves employers and inspirational and identifiable role models. These individuals engage directly with students, sharing insights about their business and industry. By doing this, they help learners gain a clearer understanding of the skills, qualifications, and pathways required to secure employment in the future and have the skills that employers look for.
Where we work
Our head office is based in Chesterfield, but we deliver extensively across the East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA) region – Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, and surrounding areas.
