What is Youth Action?
Youth Action brings together community organisations, public services, funders, employers and local leaders under a shared 10-year commitment. Together, our aim is to make Bolsover a better place to grow up by ensuring that every young person has:
- Access to support and opportunities which encourage them to thrive.
- The confidence and skills needed to take advantage of opportunities that come their way.
- The chance to influence decisions that affect their lives at local and regional levels.
We want young people to shape and drive Youth Action Bolsover from the very beginning. With this in mind, we encourage anyone aged 12 to 25 living in Bolsover District to get involved by:
- Participating in community engagement sessions.
- Becoming a member of the ‘Forum’ to shape the youth offer plan.
- Training to be a ‘peer researcher’ to help capture the personal views and experiences of young people in their community.
- Joining the ‘Creative Collective’ to lead on marketing and communications.
- Attending the Youth Action Summit on Tuesday, 19th January 2027.
