In February 2025, we once again secured the matrix Standard accreditation. We were first awarded the standard in March 2019 and had a continuous improvement check in March 2020. We were reaccredited with the new BETA version of the matrix Standard in March 2022.
The unique nationally recognised quality standard assesses and measures the information, advice, and guidance services that ultimately support individuals in their choice of career, learning, work, and life goals.
Below are a few of the highlights from the report:
- There remains strong leadership and commitment to a clear IAG offer.
- There is a strong commitment to helping young people through the organisational values of equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- The need to be ‘encouraging, motivational, probing, realistic, supportive, patient and organised’ were all words used by staff to explain the key characteristics required (to effectively support young people).
- The organisation’s mission and vision clearly outline its aspirations and purpose, and the values are embedded in the way the service is delivered with staff.
- Partnership relations are very effective. There is an appreciation of each other’s roles and responsibilities and a spirit of trust and co-operation.
